Privacy Policy
Tagloom: AI Photo Tagger ("Tagloom") is a Windows desktop application published by IAM_DEV. It is designed to work entirely on your computer. This policy explains what the app does with your data.
Your photos stay on your computer
- Photos are analyzed by an AI model running locally on your PC. No photo, thumbnail, file name, title, description or keyword is ever sent to IAM_DEV or to any other server.
- Your original photos are only opened for reading. Tagloom never edits, moves, renames, copies or deletes them.
- Tagloom has no user accounts and does not collect personal information.
- Tagloom contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code.
What Tagloom stores on your computer
- XMP sidecar files (
.xmp) written next to photos in the folders you add. They contain the generated title, description and keywords, and the name of the model that produced them. - A local library database in the
.tagloomfolder of your user profile. It holds the paths of the folders and photos you add, the generated metadata, your settings and the processing status of each photo. - Thumbnail images in the same folder, created so the library loads quickly. They can be deleted at any time and are rebuilt when needed.
- Downloaded AI model files and a log file used to diagnose problems. The log never leaves your computer unless you choose to send it to us.
When Tagloom uses the internet
- Model downloads. When you press Download on the Models page, the model files are downloaded from a public AI model hosting service (Hugging Face, or its mirror if Hugging Face cannot be reached). As with any download, that service can see your IP address. No photo or library data is sent.
- Links you open. Rating the app, contacting support and similar actions open your web browser, email program or the Microsoft Store.
Tagging, searching and editing work without an internet connection once a model is downloaded.
Microsoft Store
Tagloom is distributed through the Microsoft Store. Purchases, installation and updates are handled by Microsoft under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. IAM_DEV does not receive your payment details.
Deleting your data
Uninstall Tagloom and delete the .tagloom folder in your user profile to remove the library
database, thumbnails, models and logs. To remove the generated metadata, delete the .xmp files
Tagloom created next to your photos. Your photos themselves are unaffected either way.
Children
Tagloom does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
